Turnabout Procedure
Three stages as follows:
- Use POM Prepare, (360˚ observations starting from left blind spot) indicate, get biting point, release handbrake. Use clutch control to move the car as slow as possible while turning the wheel as quick as possible to lock. Stop car about a foot from kerb. Handbrake if needed.
- Select reverse (360˚ observations starting from right blind spot) get biting point, release handbrake. Use clutch control to move the car as slow as possible while turning the wheel as quick as possible to the opposite lock while looking out the rear window with frequent checks around. Stop car about a foot from kerb. Handbrake if needed.
- Use POM (360˚ observations starting from left blind spot) get biting point, release handbrake. Use clutch control to move the car as slow as possible while turning the wheel as quick as possible to lock until car has passed the kerb.
Make sure it’s SAFE /LEGAL and CONVENIENT before starting procedure!
